SIKUROEGOUNDESIGN 2023
The Italian startup EGOUNDESIGN aims to expand from its pen set into other markets. It is my task to identify a suitable market for a graduation project.
In this graduation project, I will take charge of the entire process. Responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders, directing colleagues, and making decisions.
This journey has been immensely educational for me, and I have relished the freedom it afforded me.
On this page, you will find the most important milestones for the project.
01.
Project Start
A structured approach was crucial to guide and streamline the creative process. The subproblems we identified were linked to research and design techniques. Functional tables, requirements lists and schedules were drawn up, assisted by the insights from the analysis phase. This allowed us to make informed choices and ensure a smooth project flow for Sikuro.
02.
Analysis
Premium bike repair demands exceptional user experience. Sikuro prioritizes both functionality and aesthetics through a rigorous design process.
User Research: Interviews, field studies, and competitor analysis identified user needs and pain points.
Design Decisions leveraged research to ensure Sikuro is highly functional, ergonomic, and visually striking.
This user focus drives high satisfaction, increased sales, and long-term success. Sikuro: premium repair, designed for riders.
03.
Ideation
Based on a thorough analysis of all acquired information, the design process commences. While creative freedom is essential, it can also be a pitfall. To avoid this, dogma rules are established. These guidelines ensure efficient design and keep the level of "out-of-the-box" thinking under control.
Example: Design a storage solution based on placement.
04.
Testing
The design process combines thorough analysis with creative intuition. In the analysis phase, I immerse myself in the stakeholders' requirements and the project context. This gives me a deep understanding that I translate into powerful concepts.
Through intensive testing with stakeholders, the best ideas are optimized and transformed into realistic solutions.

05.
Design Iterations
Transforming concepts into functional, producible products is my forte. While many lose sight of the creative process in this phase, I see it as an opportunity to make a real impact. By focusing on sustainability, materials, and meticulous attention to detail, I create products that are not only functional, but also meaningful and appreciated by users.

06.
Final Product
No product is ever perfect, but there comes a time when it needs to be finalized. The product presentation is the culmination of the hard work as a designer. The stakeholders are already satisfied with Sikuro, and this presentation is the icing on the cake.
